Coordinate and implement capacity development activities on trade facilitation in cooperation with the public and the private sectors in Cambodia
Provide technical advice and coordinate consultant missions on specific trade facilitation topics in cooperation with project partners (e.g. on the topics of national single window, authorised economic operators, pre-arrival/departure processing, and risk management)
Support to the organisation of events, trainings and workshops on trade facilitation
Liaise with and represent the project vis-à-vis partner organisations and other stakeholders in the country
Participation in expert fora, seminars, conferences and other trade-related events
Support to public relations work including the preparation of publications in accordance with project and corporate design guidelines
Contributions to results monitoring of the ARISE+ Cambodia and DGT projects
Contribution to the preparation and implementation of DGT project plans
Support to project financial management of DGT activities in Cambodia
Active engagement and fostering of peer-to-peer learning with the project managers of the other countries of the DGT project (e.g. Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Montenegro, Rwanda)
Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications & Requirement:
At least Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g. International Trade, Economics, Law, Business Administration etc.)
At least 3 years work experience, including 2 years working in economic policy, engagement with Cambodian government officials and/or supporting an international development program
Professional and/or academic experience with trade and development issues is preferred
Familiarity with the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement, regional economic integration in the ASEAN Economic Community, and other regional free trade agreements – as well as with their relevance for economic development in Cambodia
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven moderation and facilitation skills
Experience in cooperating with trade-related government agencies, business associations or private companies, and a wide range of service providers is preferred
Experience in working on economic development with international development agencies (ideally on trade-related issues) is a strong asset
Good knowledge and understanding of trade-related politico-economic developments in Cambodia
Excellent command of English and Khmer languages, both written and spoken
Good interpersonal and intercultural skills in working with various partners from different countries
Good IT skills and advanced command of MS Office applications
Diplomatic approach in the communication with the partners
